This is our Scootie
Bootie. He was such a cute little bird. I fell
in love with him the first time I ever met him.
He captured everyone's heart. He never met
anyone he didn't like. He was the Quaker Parrot
ambassador to humanity.

Scooter was hatched on June 10, 1997 in a breeder aviary in Ft. Lauderdale.
He was given to me when he was about 8 weeks old and we've been buddies ever since.

This is baby Scooter bird at 6 months. He's a sweet little Quaker
Parrot. |

"Come pick me up! Or
you are gonna get such an ear full!"

Scooter has such a sweet little
"Quaker" face. It always says "Come pick me up!" I usually do.

"Pop's
hand is a good place to sit and watch Sarah the Rosella play. I can sit on Pop's hand all
day. I scream when he puts me down.

"Pop
likes to tickle my foot and make me dance. Sometimes I puff up real big and make real
funny noises. I don't know why but pop laughs until he cries when I do that. I don't think
it's so funny!"

"There
he goes, he's laughing at me again and I haven't even started making funny noises and
drooling yet! He's just tickling my foot, jeez! Hehehe!"

"Pop keeps trying to get a good picture of Stanley and Me. He says it's
hard because Stanley is so protective of everything. Stanley won't even let me play with
his toys!"

"That
guy behind me is my older cousin, Stanley. He's OK most of the time but he likes to bite
me when I'm not looking."

"I
have such a cute face. Nobody can resist giving me a big smooch whenever they come by. I
like all the kisses too." |
"Mommy
has taught me all kinds of tricks like 'hang from the bracelet.' I love to play with
anything that will fit in my beak. If you like it, I will chew it."

Scooter is a wonderful little parrot. In the
afternoon he makes such a racket. He sounds like an entire rain forest full of wildlife.
He does it all by himself, too.
