CommentDear Fonze, Jake & I have enjoyed your photos. Looks like you have lots of room to play around in. Since I spend lots of time at my computer each day, Jakes cage is right next to it. Also alows me to close the door when my husband is working nights and sleeping days, so our raucous fun doesn't wake him up. I won Jake at a Bird Fair in Corups Christi a year ago, and he is my only bird. We share the house with 3 BIG dogs and 14 outside cats (we have to be very careful of them. They can sneak inside. Another good reason to be in a room where we can shut the door.) Linda & Lil'Jake

CommentCan I get information on helping with the quaker rescue in South Florida. I'm on the west coast and I'm sure the power company is dismantling nests here also. I volunteer with Emergency Management for our County-ESF 17-animal rescue for hurricanes and fires, etc.

CommentHey Fonze! I read about you in bird talk and just had to come see your sight for myself. I also started out with two parakeets who passed away within 20 minuets of eachother while I was at school. We're still not sure why, they were fine in the morning. They will always be my favorite birds. I now have a Cockatiel and a Grey, along with my quaker. Chrissy just loves to boss the other two around! She has the Grey afraid of her now! Other than me, her best friend is a blue crowned conure that visits every once and a while. My little quaker is the sweetest little thing. No matter what she does, it is impossible to ever get mad at her for very long. Maybe you could get her to talk instead of squawlk for everything. She's not that noisy, it's the grey mimiking her that becomes a pain. If I can figure out how i'll send you a picture of her. Ta ta for now!

My Mom has had me to the vet. for anti-depressants (didn`t work, just made me a zombie) antihistamines which were a little better in comb. with a collar (almost hung myself). Speaking of traveling, Mum is going to take me to Kelso,WA this Sunday to see her grandparents;my GREAT grandparents. It is Friday, Feb, 18, 2000, so you know the date. My mums daddy just died a couple of Fridays ago, so I haven't gotten to come out of my cage that often. Do you go on any trips with your mum? Mine takes me in her shirt "happy hut" to her friends house, the one that she has a crush on (My mum is 11 years old). It is very fun, so that makes up for all the time I've been in my cage for a long time. I came from an abused family, but my mums dad came to the rescue and brought me home to my mums loving family. I have lived with her for three years,I think ,Fonzie. I think your name is darling! Although I bite a lot, I kiss,too. After I have biten my mum, I will loudly say in a human voice"HELLO," and reach out for a kiss. My mum can't stay mad at me for a long time, for these things are very special to her. I live in a house with Sunny and Sky,(two budgies,boy and girl)Jeana and Zorro,(one a backmask, one a peachface.They are both lovebirds)Moey and Carlo,(two beautiful cockatiels boy and girl)and Andy, a green cheek conure. He is only 5 weeks old! Somebody to pick on.......! Yet he is almost as big as I am! I am so sorry to hear about Pippy and Sam.
