"Miracle" Birdie, the sweet spirited little Quaker rescue bird.

This little bird has a great story of birth. Miracle was part of an exciting Quaker Parrot rescue on May 17, 2001. He is a well loved very special bird that will have a place in our hearts.

The above photo is a clip of  Miracle and Tash trying to take a bath together. This is Miracle's very first bath and he made some really cute faces while trying. I know the picture is a little fuzzy but it's a frame from a video recorder.

Check out the YouTube video of the flock taking a bath.

Miracle is a rescue bird from the local power company. Quakers build nests on utility poles and around generators and transformers. When the nests get too large and short out the equipment the power company has to remove the nests to repair the equipment. Many times in the 1990s and early 2000s the utility would alert our Quaker rescue group and someone responded to assist with the rescue of the birds from the nests saving the birds' lives.

This is the case with Miracle. Click here to read about Miracle's rescue day

The long picture is Skippy and Miracle. Aren't they soooo cute together?

Every once in a while mommy gets to steal a kiss. Skippy is called the "KISSY BIRD". She LOVES to kiss!

Skippy and Miracle enjoy "supervised" playtime. They have been quite good together but Skippy can get aggressive at times.

You know they are comfortable together when they can preen and not be scared. Here's the thing. Skippy is a DNA female, and Miracle is DNA male. Hmmm Are they checking each other out or something? This is the very first time that Miracle is on Skippy's cage and he is very relaxed.

OH OH!!! ANOTHER KISSY!!!
